California is notorious for its wildfires. Around the summertime, California deserts catch fire daily. According to the C.D.P, California had over 9,ooo wildfires, and those numbers are believed to double in 2021. These fires affect the people living near them, many lose their homes, and some lose their life. Governor Newsom is in the works of creating a plan that helps fund those affected by wildfires. The plan will have $536 million in grants distributed to programs and initiatives aimed at mitigating wildfires.
As of last Thursday, Newson has signed this initiative and it is now coming into action!
